Very loving cat needs a loving family

Meet Dottie, a 3 ½-year-old calico who was born here. She is sweet, friendly, and loves to be petted.

Dottie recently disappeared for two weeks and returned with bite wounds, malnourished, dehydrated, and with a respiratory virus. She is on the mend but still needs a little time and a lot of food and water to regain her girlish figure.

Dottie deserves to be part of a family, but if we can’t find her a home, she’ll have to go back to living in the wild.

Happy Retirement, Danny!

Part of last Thursday afternoon’s service awards gathering in the Dining Room was to honor two longtime staff members who are retiring this month.

Danny and Priscilla Lozano

One of those was Plant Operations Director Danny Lozano who leaves us after 21 years of faithful service. As Executive Director Art VanDivier noted, there are examples of “the Lozano touch” all over the campus.

Art, dressed in his best biker garb as part of dress like the Fifties day, presented Danny with a plaque, noting that Danny was frequently better dressed than he.

A bit of special guest participation played on that confession halfway through the presentation. Here’s a link to a video of the event. Enjoy.
